The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a walking challenge route with the circuit normally starting and ending at Horton-in-Ribblesdale, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent (691m), Whernside (728m), and Ingleborough (723m) - in that order. The total distance walked is 37.5km (23.5 miles) and
1586m (5202ft) of ascent, with the aim of completing in less than 12 hours. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challengeincludes some of the most rugged and spectacular countryside in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a veritable delight with panoramic views. Challenge route:
